GPG Australia was pleased to engage local residents who joined the events to learn more about both wind farms.
On the 7th and 8th of April 2021, GPG Australia hosted two community open day sessions to welcome community members interested in learning more about the Ryan Corner and Hawkesdale Wind Farms.
GPG Australia team members as well as representatives of the company’s main contractors and consultants provided the local community with the latest information about the projects and answered all questions about them.
Four tables were set up to address the key topics of interest for the local community including the status of the projects, planning, noise, transmission lines, use of local roads, and community benefits, etc.
The sessions were an excellent opportunity to introduce the members of the GPG Australia team who will oversee both projects. The engagement was a constructive forum to better understand community concerns as well as directly answer questions.
GPG has a long-term owner-vision and is committed to regularly engaging and delivering value to the local community through the implementation of a Community Engagement Plan (CEP).
Both projects are expected to generate considerable local employment opportunities during the construction phase and when the wind farms commence operations.
